On the 18th of September, we brought together 136 participants for the RM Roadmap online dissemination event – a milestone moment in co-creating the future of Research Management in Europe.

Our final in-person event on the 24th of June in Brussels brought together 65 participants from 23 countries, including RM Roadmap project partners, advisory board members, ambassadors, and other key stakeholders.

RM ROADMAP showcased its outcomes, including testimonials of the established RM Roadmap Ambassador network from 40 European countries, with 4 Ambassadors from the country community of Spain, the thematic community of Ethics and Integrity, the country community of Norway and the country community of Slovenia on stage.

Next week, RM Roadmap will host an online workshop exploring the topic: The added value of professional Research Management in the research ecosystem.

The 3rd RM Roadmap Ambassador Meeting took place on the 12th and 13th of November 2024 online as part of the EU-funded RM Roadmap project.

Advancing Research Management in Europe: Insights from the 2nd RM- Roadmap Ambassadors’ Meeting. On 13 March 2024, we held the 2nd RM-Roadmap Ambassadors’ Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, hosted by Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.

The RM Roadmap project has created an online template form to map the existing training, mobility, networking, and funding opportunities for Research Managers across Europe.

Speaking at the launch of a report issued by the Horizon Europe-funded RM Roadmap project, Professor Kurt Deketelaere, Secretary General of the League of European Research Universities, said that research management professionals would require additional resources and funding if Europe is to promote its strategic Autonomy Agenda.

Government bodies and EU funding agencies must support the continent’s research management community if they want to accelerate innovation and economic growth.
