Mapping the training, mobility, networking and funding opportunities for Research Managers in Europe

The RM Roadmap project has created an online template form to map the existing training, mobility, networking, and funding opportunities for Research Managers across Europe. We invite all RM community to include any professional development opportunities that meet the following criteria:

● Targeted to Research Managers: We are specifically interested in opportunities designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of Research Managers.

● Frequent Opportunities: We are seeking recurring and sustainable opportunities, as opposed to isolated actions that may not be available in the future.

● Open for Participation: Opportunities should be accessible to Research Managers from various institutions, not restricted to a specific organization. In the form, we encourage you to include opportunities in the following categories:

● Training Activities: This category covers training courses, modules, degrees, programs, and any educational offerings that can benefit Research Managers.

● Mobility Opportunities: Share information about programs that involve learning or professional mobility, such as peer learning, job shadowing, and internships.

● Networking Activities: Include activities that aim to provide networking opportunities, even if they involve training or mobility. Examples include annual meetings of RM associations, conferences focused on RM related topics, and thematic groups.

● Funding Schemes: If you know of funding programs or opportunities that support RM professional development, such as mobility programs or support to participate in events or training, please share them.

The form, that you can complete by following this link, should take no more than 30 minutes of your time, depending on the number of entries you would like to contribute.

Your expertise matters, so let us make a difference, one opportunity at a time.

By participating in this mapping exercise, you are contributing to the creation of a valuable resource for the RM community. Your efforts will lead to the development of a catalogue of opportunities; that will be made public and aggregated in a unique online platform, accessible to all Research Managers.
