  • Nik Claesen - Coordinator - EARMA

    Nik is the main coordinator behind the RM ROADMAP project. He is a seasoned professional with more than 6 years of experience as the Managing Director of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA). His mission is to enhance the quality of research support across Europe by establishing a network for professional development and best practice sharing.

  • Borana Taraj - EARMA

    Borana Taraj is the Head of European projects at EARMA. She manages the European projects portfolio and related communities and she supervises the EARMA EU projects team. She is co-coordinating the RM ROADMAP project with Nik Claesen, EARMA’s Managing Director.

  • Olaf Svenningsen - EARMA

    Olaf Svenningsen works part-time as Senior Project Liaison for RM ROADMAP. He has a Ph.D. in geology from Lund University in Sweden, and his RMA career began when he was employed at the US National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2000. From 2013 to 2018, Olaf was the Chair of DARMA in Denmark and has also served on EARMA’s board, the INORMS Council, and he initiated the Leiden Group in 2015.

  • Evelina Brännvall - Former EARMA Chair

    Evelina Brännvall is the Immediate Past Chairwoman of EARMA, Dr. Evelina is the Head of LTU European Office and a Senior Research Manager at Grants Office, Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. She holds two PhDs in Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management (Lithuania, 2006) and Waste Science and Technology (Sweden, 2013). Since 2014, Evelina has transitioned into research management, certified as RM, and is actively engaged in EARMA Committees, the Board of Directors, as well as INORMS and SWARMA.

  • Cristina Oliveira - NOVA

    Cristina Oliveira is the executive manager of the Information Management Research Center (MagIC) of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. With more than 15 years’ experience in research management, particularly in funding advising, she is the WP2 leader in the RM Roadmap project.

  • Margarida Trindade - NOVA

    Margarida Trindade heads the Pre-award office ITQB NOVA and is also an Invited Professor at the Research Management and Policy Post graduation of the NOVA FCSH where she teaches for two semesters (since 2019). Moreover, she acts as the following: Assessor for the EARMA Certification on Research Management (training & mentoring, since 2015) and as an Expert Evaluator (H2020, COST, FP7, FCT).

  • Carolina Varela - NOVA

    Carolina Varela is Policy Analyst in Governance, Funding and Public Policy at the European University Association. She has 10 years of experience in research management and she is a member of the coordination group of the Portuguese network of Research Managers and Administrators - Plataforma de Interface à Ciência.

  • Virág ZSÁR - HETFA

    Virág ZSÁR, Expert of International Relations, Senior Grant Advisor at HÉTFA Research Institute. She gained experience in the preparation, administrative and thematic management of various EU-funded projects. Inspired by her WG-leadership in BESTPRAC COST action (Voice of Research Administrators), she initiated and coordinated the project foRMAtion and V4WB RMA Network. She is an expert in the EC’s Horizon Results Booster Service.

  • Blanka CSITE - HETFA

    Blanka CSITE is an expert in International Public Service Relations who graduated in 2021. Currently, she is a Junior Project Manager. As a trainee, she has been involved in the work of HÉTFA already during her studies. Since then she has been involved in the management of the V4+WB RMA Network and other EU-funded projects.

  • Andri Charalambous - CyI

    Andri Charalambous, Senior Project Officer. Climate & Atmosphere Research Centre of Excellence, The Cyprus Institute. She has more than 10 years of experience in project management for National, International, and EU-funded projects. She was the Vice-Chair and Grant Holder of the COST Action BESTPRAC and is also a member of EARMA and EARMA Thematic group ERION. She is also the Chair of the new BESTPRAC Thematic Group of EARMA.

  • Styliani Petroudi - Crowdhelix

    Styliani Petroudi is an Impact Acceleration Manager at Crowdhelix and has experience in R&D, delivering dissemination, exploitation and impact activities, and is keen to support knowledge exchange and impact. With a background in Information Engineering Dr Petroudi has extensive expertise in Research Management, as a research project coordinator, project officer and research management, in different EU-funded projects. Styliani is the Research Management Helix manager.

  • Laura MacDonald - ASTP

    Laura joined ASTP in September 2016 and is responsible for managing the headquarters of this pan-European association of knowledge transfer professionals, with members across industry, academia and other stakeholders in the innovation landscape. She works with the Board to develop and then implement strategies to advance the objectives of the association.

  • Kristof Vlaeminck - Una Europa

    Kristof Vlaeminck is Una Europa’s Senior External Funding Officer. Kristof is responsible for the development of the alliance’s external funding strategy and being involved on behalf of Una Europa in projects of strategic value to the Alliance, such as the RM ROADMAP project.

  • Diana Campelo - NOVA

    Diana Campelo Delgado is a Pre-award Grants Manager at Value for Health CoLAB where she provides support to research project applications. She has worked as a research manager in different Research Support Offices within NOVA University after obtaining her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2019.

  • Ana Carrapato - NOVA

    Ana Carrapato is a science manager at CRIA (a research centre associated to Iscte, NOVA FCSH, UC and UMinho). With more than 10 years’ experience on research management, her work is focused on pre-award.

  • Fátima Dias - NOVA

    Project and partnerships manager with decades of experience in different areas e.g. Education, Science, Society, Literature. Experienced in managing EU-funded projects and in organizing small and large scale events - content and logistics – ranging from training events to conferences, exhibitions, science communication competitions, science/cultural festivals, etc. Excellent at developing and maintaining partnerships.

  • Janina Bau - EARMA

    Janina Bau is an EU Projects Officer with a background in social studies and linguistics. She is an EU Projects Officer at the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators and involved in the RM Roadmap Project. She studied European Studies, with a focus on English and Sociology in Germany and Sweden, Political Science in Belgium, and Cultural Studies in the United States.
